Ghanaian striker Gilbert Fiamenyo has revealed he was forced to leave Hearts of Oak due to monetary issues.
Fiamenyo joined Hearts of Oak in 2012 from Heart of Lions in a big money move.
He, however, struggled to live up to expectations, owing this to his battles with injuries and poor form.
"I left because of monetary issues, I sat with the board and we tried to negotiate but it did not go as planned so I had to leave the club, I would have loved to stay but we couldn't negotiate," Fiamenyo revealed on Max 89.7 FM's SportsBiz show.
After departing Hearts of Oak in 2015, he has played for Ebusua Dwarfs, AFC Leopard in Kenya and Libyan club Al-Nasr Benghazi.
The 28-year-old is currently without a club.
