Borussia Mönchengladbach chief Max Eberl is adamant Mahmoud Dahoud is not for sale.

The attacking midfielder has been outstanding for Gladbach in recent weeks and has sparked interest from abroad.

Manchester United and Manchester City have been linked with Dahoud in recent days.

"Definitely not!" declared Eberl when questioned if Dahoud could be sold.

"He is a gifted footballer, a huge talent who should make the next step with us. We also have a claim and goals that are not exactly small.

"To realize this, we need him."
