Goal-rush sees Mighty Jets' unbeaten run ended

Published on: 26 February 2013

A flurry of goals in the weekend's match-day-6 fixtures of the Division One League appeared beneficial to both ends of the tables in the all zones.

With 58 goals recorded from twenty-three matches, Mighty Jets' unbeaten run was ended by King Solomon in Zone 3B after the former premiership side lost 1-0.

Despite the goal-rush, nothing is decided but for club's held down the table in their divisions, it appears a frustrating season.

Great Olympics are still winless in the league as they could only draw goalless with Nania FC to remain bottom in Zone 3A.

In Zone 2B, Hasaacas continued their push for a play-off place after winning 2-0 against Windy Professionals in Winneba. In the same zone, Brighton Stars picked their first win in their 2-1 win against Ajax.

Deportivo got their first win this season after thumping Rainbow Stars 4-0 in Zone 2A.

Tamale Utrecht also registered their debut win in Zone 1A after defeating Toende United 2-1.
