Legon Cities coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin has voiced his concern regarding his team's inability to convert chances into goals in the Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Royals cruised to a 2-0 win over Hearts of Oak in matchday 27 of the Ghanaian top-flight on Saturday at the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu.
Forward Albert Yeboah emerged as the hero for Legon Cities, scoring all goals to secure maximum points for his side.
For Legon Cities, the win comes as a relief after a draw with Samartex and a loss to Medeama SC.
Speaking after the game, Fabin attributed his outfit inconsistent performance in the Ghanaian top-tier league to goal-scoring.
“Goal-scoring has been our bane. We’ve been working on it so we hope it gets better. Our players have not tasted the Premier League before, they are all from the second division, so we are now trying to bring them up. I think they are doing well, I must confess” he said after game.
They will be eager to maintain their newfound momentum when they face Berekum Chelsea in their next fixture on April 26, 2024, in matchday 28 action.
Legon Cities are 12th on the Ghana Premier League standings with 35 points after 27 matches.
