Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan has stated he is very happy after completing move to US club Maryland Bob Cats FC.

The former Ghanaian captain signed a one-year contract with the lower division side on Wednesday.

"I am very happy and excited to announce my new home for 2022," Annan wrote on Twitter.

Annan, a member of Ghana's squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, went on to reveal what influenced his decision to join Maryland.

"The project and foundation of this club made me sign because I want to help this ambitious club to the top. The offer and interest from Maryland Bob Cats FC was one I couldn’t reject."

"I am fully focused and looking forward to a great season full of success and trophies. [I] can't wait to get it started."

Annan spent more than a decade at Kotoko where he won three Ghana Premier League titles and FA Cup two times.
