Goalkeeper Kingson set for Blackpool first appearance

Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson will report to Blackpool tomorrow for his first training session as a player of the Premier League side.

And boss Ian Holloway, who will also welcome six other players back from international duty, believes the shot-stopper can add "real quality" to his squad as he prepares for Saturday's return to Premier League action at Newcastle. Kingson has been brought in to provide competition for Matt Gilks while Paul Rachubka recuperates from a knee operation.

The 32-year-old played in Africa and Turkey before gaining Premier League experience with Birmingham and Wigan.

He has won 83 caps for Ghana and was one of the stars of the World Cup.

Holloway said: "Hopefully we have added real quality, and with those two arriving I'm delighted with the squad we have.
