Goalkeeper Kingson still in Ghana plans - Stevanovic

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic insists goalkeeper Richard Kingson has not been permanently axed from the Black Stars.

The Serbian manager has revealed that the shot-stopper's club-less situation is the reason for his exclusion from the squad to face Sudan.

Kingson has been without a club since being released by English side Blackpool in June.

His recent performances led to calls for him to be replaced as the first choice goalkeeper for the Black Stars.

The recent arrival of goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey has given Ghana a  competent replace for the long-serving Kingson.

Stevanovic says playing a goalkeeper who is without a club is a hard thing to do.

"For Richard Kingson he does not have a club at the moment. For a goalkeeper in this situation it is very very difficult," Stevanovic said.

Other goalkeepers Like Sammy Adjei, Philemon McCarthy, Daniel Agyei and Ernest Sowah failed to dislodge Kingson.
