Goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy is in line to return to the post for Hearts when they travel to Tema to face Ebusua Dwarfs.

The agile shot-stopper is yet to feature for the club this season due to his involvement with the Black Stars.

He was an unused substitute during the country’s 1-0 win over Malawi in the return leg for the 2013 African Cup of Nations in Lilongwe.

The 28-year-old has returned to full scale training with the side and will be available  for selection.

"Dwarfs play really well, especially when it is against us. It is not going to be easy,” McCarthy said

“Again, I would compare it to the other two matches we have played so far. It will be a difficult test for us.

“We need to dictate the game and impose ourselves. If we let them do what they know, it will be a difficult game for us.”

He stated team spirit was high in camp and never stopped believing that they could put their campaign on track after their opening game ended in a 1-1 draw against Tema Youth.

"It was very important to win against because we bounced back to beat our last opponents,”

"We have done really well in the last two games and I thought we came out with a really good win.

“It is great for our confidence. The spirit in this team is great. It was great before the league started and that was why I wasn't too worried about our 1-1 drawn game against Tema Youth because I knew we would surely bounce back against New Edubiase.

“We managed to do it with five great goals and we are looking forward for more wins especially on Saturday.

It is however unclear if the former Feyernord goalkeeper will get the nod ahead of veteran Sammy Adjei who has conceded three goals in two games.
