Residents of New Edubiase have been handed massive relief as Ghana's Sports Minister Hon. Isaac Asiamah reveals that government will soon commence work on their uncompleted stadium which was started by the NDC government.

Addressing an enthusiastic gathering at the sod-cutting ceremony at Nyinahin in the Ashanti Region for the construction of a youth and sports facility, the hardworking Sports Minister disclosed that government is putting in measures to ensure the New Edubiase Stadium is completed.

The facility which started under the previous government under the ministerial supervision of Dr. Mustapha Ahmed has been ignored for close to two years since his government came into power.

But the Sports Minister whose industrious leadership has seen new youth and sports facilities springing up in all the ten regions of Ghana noted that work will resume on the New Edubiase Stadium soon.

He disclosed that it's is part of the government's commitment to develop sports all over the country and to create more jobs for the youth.

"The youth resource center in Kumasi will be revamped soon as well as the New Edubiase Stadium which was started by the previous government.

"We (this government) will not neglect that facility because we are not those who started it. Since it's good for the development of the game and for job creation, we are committed to ensuring that it is completed," Hon. Asiamah said.

The New Edubiase Stadium has been left unattended to after former Youth and Sports Minister Dr. Mustapha Ahmed, in 2015, cut a sod for its construction.
