Aduana Stars brushed aside Hearts of Oak with a 2-0 win on Wednesday afternoon, earning maximum points from their outstanding Ghana Premier League Week 22 fixture.
The Ogya Boys took control early and broke the deadlock in the 31st minute through their captain, Sam Adams, who calmly slotted home to give the hosts a deserved lead.
It was a fitting performance from the skipper, who marshalled the midfield and led by example throughout the game at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa Ahenkro.
Despite Hearts' second-half substitutions to inject energy into the side, bringing on Yahaya, Boateng, Oppong Afrane, and Karikari, they failed to find rhythm or penetrate Aduana's disciplined backline.
Their best efforts were thwarted, and their lack of cutting edge in attack continued to haunt them.
Aduana sealed the victory late in the game when Ivorian forward Abdel Latif Bamba, introduced in the 78th minute, scored with a clinical finish in the 88th minute to make it 2-0.
