The head coach of Heart of Lions, Bashir Hayford, has lamented over the fatigue among his players ahead of their Ghana Premier League clash against Young Apostles this weekend.
The team from Kpando is making the trip to Wenchi this weekend after coming back from a trip to Nzema during Week 31.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, Coach Bashir Hayford raised concerns about the fatigue in camp, insisting that his players are tired after the back-to-back long travels.
“It’s not been a small journey. After coming from Nzema and straight away we are going back to Wenchi. The boys are tired. There is fatigue among them, but we are working on that. As for the preparations, it has been the same. The only thing is that we are managing their fatigue level so that they can play on Sunday,” Coach Bashir Hayford said.
Despite the fatigue in camp, Coach Bashir Hayford is hopeful that his team can secure a victory against Young Apostles to stay in contention for the Ghana Premier League title.
The Week 32 encounter between Young Apostles and Heart of Lions will be played on Sunday, May 25.
