Bibiani Goldstars forward Abednego Tetteh has backed the Black Stars to deliver in their penultimate AFCON 2023 qualifier against Madagascar despite being snubbed with call up.
The former Hearts of Oak striker emerged as the goal king at the end of the Ghana Premier League season.
Despite his rich vein of form, Tetteh was snubbed with a call up ahead of the qualifiers.
Bechem United striker Hafiz Konkoni became the sole representative from the Ghana Premier League after earning a late call up.
In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, Tetteh poured out his frustrations after being snubbed with a call up but throws his weight behind the team to excel.
“I’m a human, I feel bad but I can’t do anything about it so I just have to wish them well against Madagascar. We will support them to deliver against Madagascar” he said.
Tetteh rediscovered his form after joining Bibiani Goldstars in the second half of the domestic top-flight.
Before joining the miners, Tetteh had only scored two goals for King Faisal in the first round of the season.
Following an improved performance at Goldstars, Tetteh emerged as the goal king, scoring 18 goals between King Faisal and Goldstars.
