The head coach of Heart of Lions, Bashir Hayford, has indicated that he expects the Ghana Premier League match against Young Apostles this weekend to be tough.
The experienced coach and his team are pushing for a strong finish to the 2024/25 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign in a bid to win the title.
Speaking in his pre-match interview, Coach Bashir Hayford assured fans that his team will do everything to try and get a win over Young Apostles on the matchday.
He insists that it is important for Heart of Lions to amass all three points to keep hope of clinching the league title alive.
“These last three matches, we need some points to still be in contention for the league, so the expectation is that we will try and get a win there, and then we see the last two matches if we will be in contention for the league. So it’s going to be a tough match. They are also planning relegation, so it’s going to be very difficult. But like I said, we will try to get the win there to stay in contention. That will motivate the boys to play the last two matches,” Coach Bashir Hayford said.
The Ghana Premier League Week 32 encounter between Young Apostles and Heart of Lions will be played on Sunday, May 25.
