Great Olympics coach Yaw Acheampong has claimed in a sensational rant that he’s not disappointed with the team’s relegation from the top-flight.

The Wonder Club suffered a disappointing exit from the elite division despite producing a late comeback 2-1 win over champions Ashantigold on Sunday.

It’s been a frustrating period for supporters of the club who watched in agony as their team crushed out of the top-flight amid constant reports of managerial in-fighting.

Yaw Acheampong, a former Ghana international, was brought in to save the team from going down but he failed to deliver on his mandate after guiding the team into the drop zone.

But he has revealed he has no regrets over the turn of event.

“I am not disappointed at all. Why should I be disappointed? If you look at our point build up and the teams that survived, you will appreciate that it was not bad at all,” he said

“I came in to save the situation but unfortunately we couldn’t achieve that. We squandered several goal scoring chances against Ashantigold and as a former player, I can attest to such situations occasionally.

“It’s depressing but I’m not disappointed at all.”
