Greece-based Mohamed Youssouf pulls out of Comoros squad

Greece-based Mohamed Youssouf has withdrawn from Comoros squad to face Ghana on Friday in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier because of family engagements.

The midfielder who plays for Veria FC could not travel to join his teammates for the crucial qualifier.

Nakim Youssoufa has replaced him in the squad.

Already, les CÅ“lacanthes are without captain Nadjim Abdou who has been sidelined for two months due to injury.

Also unavailable are Olympiacos FC striker Ben El Fardou Mohamed and defender Salim Mramboini.

Comoros host the Black Stars on 13 November before travelling to Kumasi for the return leg four days later.

The winner of the two-legged tie will advance to the third qualifying round which will have 20 teams drawn into five round-robin, home-and-away groups of four teams each.
