Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah wants the Black Stars to beat Congo on Sunday in memory of his late father who will be buried on Saturday.
The Partizan Belgrade attacker will put aside his grief over the death of his father to help the Black Stars win the vital Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Adiyiah wants the Black Stars to win the game to boost their qualifications chances of qualifying for the Nations Cup.
Despite being bereaved, the striker insists he is fired up for the clash in Brazzaville for the memory of his father.
"I knew my Dad would want me to play," said Adiyiah, whose father will be buried on Saturday.
"I love him so much and he loves Ghana and loves this game. He nurtured my interest in football.
"This match means a great deal to me, my dad and my family. I know he will be watching.
â€œThe best outcome is a victory for Ghana. A goal by Dominic will be icing on the cake.â€
Ghana will boost their chances of qualifying for the Nations Cup if they win the game in Brazzaville.
