Ghana coach Sellas Tetteh is optimistic his side have an equal chance of progressing from their African Youth Championship Group despite an opening day defeat.

The former Rwanda national team trainer is refusing to press the panic button with odds now against them.

The Black Satellites fell to a penalty late on in the match against Egypt to leave them at the foot of the table.

Ghana must now beat Benin on Tuesday to revive their chances of making it from the pool which also includes hosts Algeria.

"We have equal chance. Anything at all can happen in this Group," Tetteh declared.

"It can turn around the only thing is that we brace up strongly and do what we are supposed to do and we are every capable."
