Alhaji Karim Grunzah has criticised the decision of the Ghana Football Association to send club owners to watch the historic friendly against England later this month.

Last week, the Ghana FA confirmed plans have been firmed up to send executives from every club in the top two ties for the game at Wembley on 29 March.

GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi has defended the move by saying it will allow the club owners to network and build capacity.

Gruzah, who owns top flight side King Faisal, is at variance with the FA and described it as an unnecessary spending.

"This is not right and proper at all. We’ve not even gotten our money from the Glo sponsorship deal and the clubs are suffering. All these monies that are going to be spent on this needless trip can be used to better the lot of the clubs and some lower division sides," Grunzah told GHANAsoccernet.com

"Let us use our resources well and stop these tricks. Why should the FA spend that huge money for club executives to just go and watch a friendly match? I don’t think is proper."

The tickets for the friendly match have completely been sold out.

The match is the first clash between the two sides at senior level.
