Pep Guardiola has claimed that each clubs' successes over the years have come as a result of their spending in the transfer market.
The former Barcelona coach's achievements at Manchester City have been tainted with the amount of money they have spent on players.
"I would say, we were not there, in the last 30 or 40 years playing with elite clubs," Guardiola told the press.
"When Manchester United won it was because they spent more money than the other ones - the same with Barcelona and Real Madrid."
