Guinea announce budget for Cup of Nations

Guinea football authorities have announced a 785,000 Euro budget to sponsor the team at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

Reports say a number of mining companies operating in the bauxite and uranium-rich West African nation have promised to make valuable contributions.

Head coach Michel Dussuyer and 26 players have arrived in Ivory Coast where they will spend a week at the Asec Mimosas’ facility in Abidjan preparing for the tournament

The Sylli Nationale begin their campaign against neighbours Mali in Group D on 24 January before facing Botswana and Ghana.
