Guinea fans charge on coach after Kenya draw

Published on: 19 January 2012

Numerous Guinea fans have called for the immediate sacking of coach Michel Dussuyer a few days to the start of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

This follows the Syli National's disappointing 1-1 draw in the last warm-up game with Kenya on Wednesday.

Right before the eyes of Prime Minister Mohammed Said Fofana, irate fans managed to filter through security barricades into the inner perimeter during the game to issue warnings to Frenchman.

Their demands are however unlikely to be met as the team travels to Gabon where they play Mali in their first group game on Tuesday.

Guinea will then play Botswana and Ghana in subsequent group games as they aim to improve upon their quarter final finish achieved in 2008 - the last time they played at the Nations Cup.
