Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has admitted that he would award Liverpool the Premier League title if the competition cannot be completed.
Liverpool currently have a 25-point lead at the top of the table and only need two more victories to lift the title.
But with the current coronavirus-enforced break, it is not clear if any team will be crowned champions this 2019/20 season.
"You have to be fair as a sportsman," Gundogan told German television channel ZDF when asked about the possibility of handing the title to Liverpool.
Premier League clubs are set to meet again on April 3 in order to discuss the future of the 2019/20 season. All games are currently suspended until the end of April, but it seems likely the pause will be extended even further.
