Hacken desperate to extend Nasiru's contract

Swedish side Hacken will be desperate to negotiate an extension to the short-term of striker Nasiru Mohammed on Monday after his debut heroics.

The Ghanaian youngster was given just a three-month contract by Hacken after he underwent trials with the second-placed club over the summer.

But after scoring twice on his debut on Sunday after coming on as a substitute in their clash with league leaders Elfsborg, Hacken will be keen to keep the youngster.

“Wonderful! I have seen his talent at first hand and he plays well with others. A very good player is what we have seen,” says Häcken coach Peter Gerhardsson said after Sunday’s game.

If Hacken fail to extend his contract they will be sure to lose the striker to their rivals who have watched the star of a futuristic player.

Nasiru had an outstanding European debut on Sunday when he scored twice to rescue his Swedish club Hacken.

The ex-Ghana U17 captain scored the two goals in ten minutes to turn the game on its head and secure a famous 4-2 win over league leaders Elfsborg.

The 18-year-old even overshadowed his compatriot Abdul Majeed Waris, the league's leading scorer, who sealed the victory for Hacken.

The victory ensures that Hacken stay in second position but close the gap at the top to five points.
