German Bundesliga II side Hamburg have cancelled the trials of Ghanaian defender Joseph Baffo.
The former Bundesliga side had earlier scheduled a trial for the 25 year old following injuries to key defenders, including Gideon Jung.
However, the test had to be cancelled with Joseph Baffo due to be ready in 6 to 8 weeks.
Hamburg are on the market for a quick fix to their current predicament and will need a replacement for the injury ruined side.
The club posted on Twitter, "After yesterday's performance tests prevails the opinion that the 25-year-old would only reach in six to eight weeks, the required level of performance". Consequently, HSV's search for a central defensive player continues."
Earlier Ghanasoccernet.com exclusively reported that Baffo would fit perfectly into the HSV profile. Especially through the long-term failures of Gideon Jung and Kyriakos Papadopoulos, the search was intensified.
Baffo had suffered a cruciate ligament rupture only last October, and his contract with Eintracht Braunschweig expired at the end of last season.
The center-back and U-21 European champion with Sweden came to Braunschweig in 2015, he has played 53 games in the lower division scoring three goals and an assist.
