Medeama coach Hans Vander Pluijm is in good spirit ahead of his side’s Premier League game against Bechem United on Sunday.

The Dutchman supervised his last training session on Saturday morning ahead of the must-win game against the Premier League returnees.

The Mauves and Yellows are anxious for a win after drawing goalless in their opening encounter against regional rivals Hasaacas.

The former Heart of Lions and Berekum Chelsea trainer has affirmed that team morale is high before the clash with the Blues at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park.

“Confidence is a highly important factor. You know life is about talent, attitude and opportunity,” he said

“I believe we have talent, we have attitude and we have a good opportunity in front of us to show that we are good enough, so let’s take it.”

"We have a united spirit but you have to take care of the spirit in the side. And the players have to take care of that, because it's as fragile as the weather in Tarkwa. It's quickly cloudy.

"When you have no attitude and no spirit you have no results. And when you have results you have to take care of it because you can lose it quickly.

“I am confident about our chances but we’re not getting complacent. We know Bechem United is a good side and we so we’ll show them respect.

“However we want to pick the maximum points, meaning we cannot afford to slip at home.”
