Defender Harrison Afful remains confident that Ghana will qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The Black Stars lie second in their group behind Zambia and will tackle Sudan in a must-win game at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.

The Ghanaians are desperate to return to winning ways after placing a disappointing fourth at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations.

The Esperance ace, who excelled at the continental showpiece in South Africa is upbeat about the chances of the Black Stars to qualify to the world soccer mundial.

“We are determined to go to Brazil and so we’re prepared to ensure we qualify,” Afful told Happy FM

“By God’s grace everything will be fine. Victory will be ours. We just need to keep fighting hard.

“Everybody will be fighting for the three points and so I will just urge our people to come out in their numbers to support us.”

The Black Stars are trailing 2012 African champions Zambia by three points after the Chipolopolo were awarded three points from the boardroom.
