Heart of Lions chief executive Randy Abbey is refusing to jubilate over his side’s surge in form this season.

Lions are in contention for the Ghana Premier League after back-to-back win lifted them to third on the table.

Osman Muntaka scored the only goal of the match as the Kpando-based side coasted to a 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

Coach Yusif Abubakar’s men are hitting form at the right time and now considered serious title contenders.

But chief executive Randy Abbey is not in a hurry to talk up their title ambitions.

“We knew it was going to be a difficult game because they have some good players.

“But the boys promised me of victory when I met them and we thank God we managed to pick the maximum points.

“We take games as it comes. We’re not in a hurry to talk about title chances. It’s one game after the other and then we see how it ends up.”

Lions travel to Obuasi to face Ashantigold in the top liner on Wednesday.
