Heart of Lions overpower sluggish Liberty to go third

Hearts of Lions recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Liberty Professionals to move up third on the table. 

Lions took a first half lead through Asante Kotoko loanee Kojo Poku in the 28th minute before Isaac Quansah scored the second goal mid-way through the second half.

Lions who have undergone administrative change after former Ghana FA spokesperson Randy Abbey took managerial role at the club.

Liberty ended their first round campaign on a sound note and were hoping to carry off from where they left off but Lions looked more determined to win.

And they dully took the lead as Kojo Poku netted a clinically from inside of the box.

Liberty had fewer chances to pull even but they wasted them.

After the break, Lions went 2-0 up as Quansah scored the second goal.
