Heart of Lions assistant tactician Daniel Nii Adjei has eulogized his outfits’ away win over Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

Lions travelled from Kpando to defeat the Porcupine Warriors at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in matchday 9 of the domestic top-flight.

Kwadwo Obeng Jnr’s strike was enough for the visitors to amass maximum points in the thrilling encounter.

Kotoko’s defeat on Sunday ended their unbeaten home record. It also marks the Porcupine Warriors second consecutive defeats in the Ghanaian top-flight.

Speaking to Kessben FM, as followed by Ghanasoccernet.com, Nii Adjei expressed his delight about his outfit success over Kotoko, saying it will help them climb up on the league standings.

“It’s a very good win for us. This points will help us to climb up on the league standings. Last season, things didn’t go as expected for the team and in order not to go into the same situation, we are doing our best to amass more points so we can place well at the end of the season”

Hearts of Lions are currently sixth on the Ghana Premier League table after nine matches, amassing 14 points from a possible 27.

They will welcome Berekum Chelsea to the Kpando Stadium in matchday 10 of the domestic top-flight this weekend.
