Heart of Lions assistant coach Daniel Nii Adjei has expressed satisfaction with his team's performance, despite their 3-0 defeat to Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League.
The Kpando-based side suffered the loss at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday.
Adjei acknowledged that his team's effort was not enough to secure a win, but he was pleased with their overall display.
"We played very well despite the defeat. We conceded two late goals in the first half, but I think the boys did their best," he said.
The coach conceded that his team made mistakes that cost them the game, but he is focused on learning from those errors.
"Just that, it wasn't enough to win this game. We will work on our mistakes for subsequent games," Adjei stated.
Despite the setback, Heart of Lions remain at the top of the Ghana Premier League standings with 30 points from 16 matches.
Adjei's positive assessment of his team's performance suggests that they will bounce back from the defeat and continue to compete at a high level.
