Heart of Lions brace for tough clash against Hearts of Oak – Nii Adjei

Heart of Lions assistant coach Daniel Nii Adjei has acknowledged the challenge his side faces in their upcoming Ghana Premier League encounter against Accra Hearts of Oak.

Speaking ahead of the match, scheduled for Friday, January 31, at the University of Ghana Stadium, Nii Adjei admitted that securing a victory away from home would be difficult but emphasized the importance of avoiding defeat.

"To get a point at Legon will be a success for us because we don’t want to lose this game. Winning would be difficult, but anything can happen. Getting a point out of this game would be a plus for us," he told the media.

Lions head into the fixture on the back of a 2-1 victory over Aduana Stars, finishing the first round of the season in third place—three points ahead of Hearts, who sit sixth after a goalless draw with FC Samartex.

Former Hearts of Oak forward Kwadwo Obeng Junior has returned from injury and is in contention to feature for Lions.

The Kpando-based side will aim for another strong performance after beating Hearts 2-0 in the first round.
