Heart of Lions coach Yusif Abubakar admits his side failed to keep up the pace of a spirited Hearts of Oak in their 4-0 defeat.

The Kpando-based side looked very much out of sorts especially in the first half were Hearts run riot.

The Phobians ended up putting four behind Lions who are just coming off an impressive win over AshGold.

Defeated coach Yusif Abubakar admits Hearts was way superior to his side.

"The tempo was too high and we couldn't control it," he conceded.

"They [Hearts] were too high on us and we couldn't match them."
