Hearts of Oak coach Nebojsa Vucicevic has taken full responsibility for his team's flaws in the lead up to the big kickoff of the new Premier League season.

The 49-year-old Serb has recently come under intense pressure by fans which heightened after last week's 3-1 loss to rivals Asante Kotoko.

Some of the reasons by the agitated fans who want the immediate removal of the coach claim the numerous youngsters introduced into the side are too mediocre by Hearts' standards.

But the coach in his attempt to shield his players, has admitted to majority of these flaws and has assured his team is working around the clock to put things right - banking massively on the team spirit in camp.

"It is two steps forward and one step back," the coach described his team's display against Kotoko last week.

"Saturday's game was a game we could have come out with a point at least but my players got swollen-headed at some point in time, especially after the equalizing penalty.

'We will comeback stronger because you could see the again that there is a strong team spirit in the team. But we lost the ball from good positions in the final third so we could have done better with our passing."

Vucicevic leads his charges to Cape Coast on Saturday for their league opener against Berekum Arsenals.
