Hearts of Oak coach C.K Akunnor is saddened by the impending departure of Uriah Asante but says the situation is beyound his control.
The 19-year-old confirmed he is not ready to extend his stay after spending two seasons on loan with the Phobians.
A move to rivalsà Asante Kotokoà as a result of his declaration is now looming and a deal could be struck as early as Wednesday after the Premier League champions put in a bid to sign the exciting playmaker.
And Akunnor who was looking to hand a key role to the 2011 All Africa Games gold medalist in Hearts' team next season concedes it is a big blow to lose Asante of which he can do very little about.
"Uriah is a good player and we all know that but the situation goes beyound me," he toldà GHANAsoccernet.com.
"He had finished his loan spell with the club and per what I hear is not willing to stay so we have to look elsewhere.
"It is now purely a club to club affair of which I don't really have control over.
"He is a good player, no doubt about that but then life must still go on with or without him and that is what I chose to focus on."
The Pure Joy budding star emerged as one of the best players in the Ghanaian top flight despite Hearts' disappointing finish in the just ended campaign.
