Hearts of Oak's 22-man Board as of last night stands dissolved to make way for the new owners to come in, a source have told GHANAsoccernet.com.

The dissolution which ends the six-year reign led by Commodore Mensah took place at a highly attended meeting at the club's secretariate in Accra on Thursday evening.

An interim five-man Board will be constituted to oversee the club's upcoming congress where membership of the newly proposed 11-man board which will be dominated by major shareholder's SAS, will be revealed and duly sworn in.

A review of the club's share sales which raked in a little over 2.5m Ghana cedis and discussions over player welfare and team discipline were also treated at the meeting.

It is however at this point not clear when the interim board will be formed and subsequently the announcement of congress date.

A statement from the club to provide more details on yesterday's meeting is expected by close of today.
