Hearts forward Joseph Esso confident of victory at WAFA

Hearts of Oak forward Joseph Esso is optimistic of his side's chances ahead of their midweek clash against WAFA in Sogakope.

The Phobians have a poor record against the Academy Boys at the Red Bull Arena, including suffering their heaviest defeat at the same venue in 2017.

Hearts were walloped 5-0 by the Academy Boys two season ago and the Rainbow club are yet to recover from that defeat.

However, after winning their first game of the current camppaign against Dwarfs last Sunday, striker Esso, who was on target against his former club is hopeful of victory in Sogakope.

”Most teams go to WAFA and return with nothing but we are going to do our best to win," he told Ghanacrusader.com.

”We know doing our best will give us something,” he added.

The Ghanaian giants have had a tough start to the campaign, which saw them sack coach Kim Grant after just match day one.
