Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy is determined to earn a recall into the Black Stars after a two-year absence. Ã
The shot-stopper enjoyed a terrific campaign with the capital-based side until he tore his right finger during a Premier League game against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara stadium.
But the 28-year-old is fit again and believes he can stake a claim in the Black Stars ahead of the next qualifiers for the 2013 African Cup of Nations and crucially the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
ââ¬ÅI am going stronger and stronger and I believe when the season start, I should be on top to earn a call-up into the national team," McCarthy said
ââ¬ÅThe season is over and so the concentration is to build on my form at training. I have no doubt in my mind that my performance will speak for itself,ââ¬
