Hearts legend Mohammed Polo wants coach Akunnor to halt their string of defeats in the Ghana top-flight.

The Phobians have flattened to deceive this season where three successive draws have left them just above the relegation zone.

The misery of the capital-based side was compounded on Sunday when they lost 2-0 at former champions Berekum Chelsea.

Their fans are growing impatient with the streak of abysmal performance with opinions divided on the future of under-fire coach CK Akunnor.

The former Hearts great says Akunnor must do something drastic to save his image and that of the 2000 African champions.

“It just unfortunate. But that is where he finds himself. Hearts of Oak, like Kotoko, they are not ready for time. They want to see something go on,” Polo told Radio XYZ

“He (Akunnor) must find solution to the strings of defeats. My only problem is whether they will have patient with him.

“Hearts of Oak fans find it very difficult to be patient when things are tough. But I think we’ve gone past that situation now.”

Hearts will be desperate to return to winning ways when they entertain  Real Tamale United at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday November 4.
