Hearts of Oak attack Abu Alhassan over Tawrick eixt

Hearts of Oak have launched a scathing rebuke at the Jones Abu Alhassan, the chairman of the Player Status Committee, for allegedly masterminding the exit of youngster Tawrick Jibril from the club.

Alhassan, a known accomplice of many foreign agents who has transferred several Ghanaian players abroad, has been accused of asking the player to quit the club.

The Player Status Committee, which decides whether a player is free agent, is expected to rule on the status of the player in the coming.

Hearts claim Alhassan has promised Jibril of a move abroad which prompted the player to quit the Phobians as a free agent.

The fact that the Accra side will not benefit from the transfer of the youngster to Europe has further irked the 2000 African champions.

Hearts claim Alhassan played a key role in Jibril deciding not to extend his contract with the Phobians.

“Jones Abu Alhassan’s role in this disgraceful saga must be investigated,” Albert Commey, the spokesman of Hearts of Oak, said.

“The fact that he is the chairman of the player status committee and an agent is selling players abroad runs contrary against the spirit of his work and its serious conflict of interest.

“We think he had a hand in the way things went in our negotiations with Tawrick because he wants to send him abroad.

“If he wants to sell players he should concentrate on that so that there can be fairness from the set go.

“His role must be examined because he is proven not to be neutral but to have a hand in such saga otherwise our game will continue to be tainted with sleaze.”

Hearts are currently struggling in the Ghana top flight league.
