Hearts of Oak break for Christmas

Hearts of Oak have handed players of the club a two week break due to the Christmas festivities.

The Phobians have been in camp for the past two months despite the lack of competitive football in the country.

Technical Director of the club Kim Grant has handed the players a 14 day break ahead of the return of a novelty championship in January.

Last Sunday the Accra based club defeated Medeama SC in a friendly to record new coach Kim Grant's first win at the helm of affairs.

The team followed up with another game between the senior side and the junior side. A game that ended 4-2 in favour of the senior side.

Selassie Bakai scored a hat-trick with Abubakari Traore getting the other. Mitchel Sarpong and an own goal by James Sewornu were Auroras’ scorers.

The players will be expected to return in the first week of January to resume training.
