Former Hearts of Oak head coach Nii Odoom has tipped the Ghanaian champions to reach the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
The Phobians will begin their campaign against Guinean side Industriel de Kamsar in the preliminary round of the competition.
Nii Odoom who was in charge of the team during the start of the 2020-21 season before he was sacked believes Hearts of Oak have a good squad to make the money zone.
“They have made some good signings and also the preseason will determine too”, he said in an interview.
“Hearts can make the money zone. The team is compact and they have a very good team”.
Coach Odoom said the return of Kofi Kordzi to the squad will also help in their campaign.
“I am happy with the return of Kofi Kordzi. He is part and parcel of the team”.
Hearts are set to travel away for the first leg during the weekend of September 10-12, before hosting the second leg in Accra the following weekend.
