Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed credits impressive form to coach Samuel Boadu

Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed has credited head coach Samuel Boadu for his impressive form in the season just concluded.

Mohammed became the first Hearts of Oak captain to lift two trophies in the same season since 200o as the Phobians captured the league and FA Cup.

However, it wasn't all rosy for the right-back Fatawu who struggled to command regular playing time during Kosta Papic's short spell.

He recaptured his spot in the team and ended the campaign as one of Hearts of Oak's best players.

“Coach Samuel Boadu called me one on one when he was appointed and told me that, I'm the captain of the club so I need to be active in the team by working harder for other players to follow.

“That's what encouraged me a lot to pick up such a wonderful form this season,” the Hearts of Oak captain said in an interview with Space FM.

Mohammed played more than 30 matches for Hearts of Oak and contributed to their double success.
