Hearts of Oak CEO Frederick Moore denies not being aware of midfielder Mamane Lawali's signing

Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer Frederick Moore has offered clarification to his comments related to the club’s new signing Abdourahamane Mamane Lawali.

Last week, the accounting expert was reported to have said he had been in the dark over the signing of the Nigerien midfielder.

This is after Hearts of Oak announced on their Twitter page that the had signed Mamane Lawali on a two-year deal.

Mr Moore is quoted by Classfmonline.com as saying on Kumasi-based Fox FM "I don't even know whether we have signed a new player. You can ask the spokesperson of the club."

His comments earned him criticisms from a section of supporters as they claimed that he wasn't on top of issues despite being CEO of the club.

However, in an interview with Kumasi FM on Monday, Mr Moore said; "You have been told I said I didn’t know about Hearts signing a player. It’s miscommunication and I don’t have any problem with that. I know what I said because there were two people in the room. I initially said I was going into a meeting so I will not discuss individual players, I never discussed individual players on any platform, that is the job of the PRO.

"Every contract that is signed, we put our stamp at where the signature of our CEO or MD is, that CEO or stamp sits in my office so how on earth can we sign a player and I will not know.

"All I did was to refer the interviewer to Opare, I don’t know how that information got transformed. I really don’t like talking about these type of things because it brings nothing better to Hearts," he added.
