Hearts of Oak have announced that Chief Executive Mark Noonan is on compassionate leave and has returned to the United States to attend to pressing family issues.

But the club did not state how long he would be away.

Noonan is also expected to attend some business meetings in the States in the interest of Hearts of Oak.

A statement signed by club read: ''The Management of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited wishes to inform the general sporting public that its Chief Executive Officer Mark Noonan has returned to the United States of America to deal with family issues as well as attend meetings we believe will be beneficial for the club.

''In his absence, Kim Grant will run all the Technical Department issues and Edmund Adu will handle Business Operations, under the guidance of the Board Chairman and Mark Noonan himself.''
