Hearts of Oak are close to re-signing Ghanaian striker Kofi Kordzi, Ghanasoccernet.com sources have revealed.

The transfer is 'almost complete' after Kordzi underwent medical at the Barnor Hospital in Laterbiokoshie, Accra.

The announcement is now imminent.

He is expected to sign a three-year contract and that would make him the club's second acquisition following the arrival of former Medeama forward Isaac Agyenim Boateng.

Kordzi rejoins the Phobians on a free transfer after mutually parting ways with Muaither SC in Qatar.

His arrival, barring any last-minute hitch, is good news for Hearts of Oak who have absolute trust in the bulky attacker.

His excellent performances for Hearts in his first stint earned him the move to the Asian country, with the Phobians pocketing a reported $1,2000.

Kordzi, after completing the move in October last year, started really well in the Qatar second-tier netting twice in his opening three matches.

He followed it up with a hattrick early this year.

However, he struggled in subsequent games before finally deciding to leave and return to his native country.
