Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu has said he wasn't impressed with their victory over Algerian side JS Saoura in the CAF Confederation Cup play-offs.

The Phobians got a 2-0 win over Saoura at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in the 1st leg of the play-off round of the competition.

Midfielder Salifu Ibrahim opened the scoring account with a point-blank header from a Daniel Afriyie Barnieh cross in the first half.

Substitute Isaac Agyenim Boateng netted the second goal of the match in the 70th minute after connecting a cross from William Dankyi.

Boadu expressed his dissatisfaction over the team’s performance insisting they should have scored more than two goals.

"I saw their training at the McDan town Park. Tactically they are good and have better and quick movements. We knew they deal with long balls sometimes so we did all we could to stop their supplies," Boadu told reporters.

"I'm not happy with the scoreline because we created a lot of opportunities but is quite unfortunate we couldn't take all those chances.

"We have learnt a lot from the Wydad Athletic Club game heading into the second leg."

Hearts of Oak will travel Algeria this weekend for the return encounter at the Stade 20 Août 1955 in Béchar next Sunday.
