Hearts of Oak assistant coach Nana Yaw Amankwah has urged the club’s fans to keep supporting the team despite their poor start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians’ latest defeat came against Heart of Lions, a 2-0 loss at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday in match week two of the new season.
This result followed their shocking 1-0 loss to newly promoted Basake Holy Stars the previous weekend, leaving the club at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table.
"This league is a marathon. Last season, they started very well, but they didn't end very well. This season, we are still struggling to get our win back," Amankwah said after the match.
"But what I can tell the supporters is that they should still have some patience.
"They should try as much as possible to support the players and the team. They have nothing to support. With their support, the team will change."
Hearts of Oak are set to host Bechem United in their match week three game this coming weekend, but the venue has not been communicated yet.
