Hearts of Oak are set to make a move for former Asante Kotoko  midfielder Umar Bashiru in the ongoing transfer window.

The Phobians are set to strengthen the squad with the signing of the former WAFA midfield dynamo.

Bashiru is currently unattached after parting ways with the Porcupine Warriors in October following lack of play time.

The 22-year old is one of the finest midfielders in the country, having excelled at WAFA and briefly was a regular at Kotoko during CK Akonnor's time as coach.

His move to Accra is seen as a big move for the struggling Ghanaian giants.

The Accra based club have had a poor start to the season after losing their opening two games of the campaign.

The Rainbow club will next host Ebusua Dwarfs in Accra on match day 3 of the Ghana Premier League.
