Hearts of Oak midfielder Umar Manaf is close to joining newly-promoted Real Tamale United on loan.

However, ahead of the move, he has agreed to extend his contract with Hearts of Oak.

According to Phobianews.com, Hearts of Oak and the midfielder have reached agreed in principle to a two-year contract extension.

Manaf fell down Samuel Boadu's pecking order in the second half of last season.

As a result, Hearts of Oak did not include him in their 36-man squad for the CAF Champions League.

However, the feeling at the club is that Manaf, an academy graduate, still has a bright future at the club and is expected to renew his contract in the coming days before heading to the newly-promoted side.

Abdul Manaf broke onto the scene with his dazzling performances in the Normalisation Committee Competition in 2019 after been promoted into the senior team.
