Hearts of Oak assistant coach Edward Nii Odoom insists his side had a very bad day that's why they lost 3-1 to newcomers Karela United FC on Wednesday at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.

The Phobians blew out a 1-0 first half lead to concede three goals within 19 minutes in the second half to record a second straight defeat in the premier league.

Odoom directed the affairs from the dugout since the head coach Henry Wellington could not make the trip to Nzema Aiyinase due to an ailment.

"It seems we had a bad day. We had a very bad day in the second half. Performance was not good," he said.

"Despite that, there was a bit improvement on the players' attitude. We will improve on our performance in the next match."

The Rainbow outfit are currently in 9th on the league table after recording their fourth loss of the season.
